On January 12th, OneSpace, in collaboration with Chuong Duong Middle School (Hoan Kiem, Hanoi), organized the Enjoy AI Robot Programming Competition. The event aimed to provide students with hands-on experience in advanced technology, introducing them to programming and robot control.
This marked the first time that Chuong Duong Middle School hosted a programming competition, and OneSpace, as a co-organizer, transformed the dedication and scientific passion of the teachers and students at Chuong Duong into an engaging and informative experience. The competition garnered significant interest and participation from numerous students within the school.
The Robot Enjoy AI competition focused on the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) field, requiring student teams to design and program robots autonomously to complete specific tasks. These tasks included navigating obstacles, sword fighting, weightlifting, and bicycle racing. The competition featured 25 participating teams, each consisting of 5 students. These students were enthusiasts of scientific research, passionate about STEM activities, and demonstrated strong interdisciplinary knowledge and skills, representing over 1,000 students from grades 6 to 9 in the academic year 2023-2024 at Chuong Duong Middle School.
Despite receiving only 2 training sessions prior to the competition, most teams mastered programming robot movements and executed actions such as sword fighting, weightlifting, and bicycle racing. Many teams even proactively added commands to control the robot’s movements in the most logical way. The competition truly served as an excellent learning opportunity for students to showcase their passion, creativity, as well as teamwork skills.
OneSpace believes that through teaching methods such as project-based learning, problem-solving, and requirement-driven learning, STEM experiential activities become much more vibrant. Students engage in games, algorithm processing, and apply natural science knowledge in their exams. This hands-on approach not only makes learning more enjoyable for students but also helps them better understand how mastering theoretical knowledge can be beneficial in real-world applications.
Each program and competition organized by OneSpace is designed with passion to promote education in the STEAM field. It aims to provide students with additional experiences and interdisciplinary opportunities, fostering the development of their abilities and qualities as learners. With the mission “Innovation for the Future Generation” OneSpace will continue to collaborate with schools and partners to create the most beneficial and appealing learning experiences, propelling the dreams and technological advancements of the young generation in Vietnam.
